What Coverage Does Auto Insurance Provide?

Although auto insurance policies vary, they typically offer several types of coverage, including:

  • Liability insurance—Liability insurance can cover third-party injury or property damage costs if a policyholder is at fault for an accident. For example, if you hit another vehicle, your liability coverage may cover the other driver’s hospital bills and vehicle repairs.
  • Collision insurance—If an insured vehicle collides with another vehicle or object, collision insurance may help repair or replace the vehicle.
  • Comprehensive insurance—Comprehensive insurance can pay for vehicle damage caused by hazards not covered by collision insurance. For example, it may help repair or replace insured vehicles following fires, theft, vandalism or severe weather.
  • Uninsured/underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) insurance—Following a hit-and-run or an accident involving an uninsured or underinsured driver, this coverage may help you cover your injury costs. In some states, it also pays for your vehicle repairs. Please note, while uninsured and underinsured coverage is a single coverage in some states, in others, the coverages are separate.
  • Medical payments (Med Pay) coverage—Med Pay coverage can help insured drivers and their passengers cover their medical costs if they are injured in an accident.

Other coverage, such as roadside assistance, rental car reimbursement and gap insurance, may also be available. To learn more about how different types of coverage may protect you and your vehicle, speak to one of our agents.

Am I Required to Buy Auto Insurance?

Most Missouri drivers are required by law to carry at least a minimum amount of auto insurance. If your vehicle is financed, you may be subject to additional coverage requirements. For more information about coverage requirements affecting your auto insurance needs, speak to an agent.

Home is your safe haven. It’s where you raise your family and create memories that extend generations.

We are committed to helping every client get quality insurance benefits that will protect them in all parts of their lives. If you are a homeowner or are embarking on the journey of buying your first home, then you should adequately insure the property with a home insurance plan that is customized to fit your needs.

What does home insurance cover?

Homeowners' insurance policies offer a diversity of benefits, each designed to offer targeted protection for a diversity of unexpected, unavoidable issues. These include:

  • Structure protection: This insures your house in the event of damage from fires, weather, theft, vandalism, or other hazards.
  • Detached structures coverage: Other buildings on your property – such as fences, carports, gazebos, and detached garages - will have coverage.
  • Possession insurance: This pays for damaged belongings. Protection might cover everything from furniture to food in the pantry and computer systems.
  • Liability coverage: If you accidentally harm someone else or damage their property, you can use this coverage to repay them. Coverage will often pay for incidents both on and off your property.
  • Additional living expense protection: Do you need to move out temporarily after household damage? Let this coverage reimburse you for expenses like dining or hotel bills.

Plus, because your home is unique, you can further tailor your benefits with more unique options like:

  • Scheduled items riders
  • Replacement cost value possessions coverage
  • Umbrella liability insurance
  • Flood insurance
  • Earthquake and windstorm endorsements
  • Pet liability insurance

We will always customize your plan by helping you tailor your deductibles and overall coverage limits.

How much home insurance do I have to buy?

Most mortgage lenders require homebuyers to purchase homeowners insurance before they approve loan applications. Generally, they will require you to obtain at least enough dwelling coverage for your home’s replacement cost value.

Regardless of any coverage requirement, you should always carry this benefit as part of your comprehensive personal insurance package.

Business Insurance

Business insurance helps protect you from the unexpected costs that accompany these risks, including accidents, natural disasters, lawsuits, and other incidents.

What Is Business Insurance?

It takes a lot of work to keep your company up and running, but it only takes one disaster—such as a lawsuit, fire, severe weather or theft of property—to cause damage from which you might not be able to recover.

With business insurance, you’ll be better able to withstand the personal and financial harm done by unexpected hazards. The right benefits help to support and provide assistance to recover financially. This coverage enables you not to spend company funds and potentially experience an operational setback.

What Are the Types of Business Insurance?

Business insurance isn’t a single policy like homeowners, auto or life insurance. Instead, it’s an umbrella term that refers to numerous commercial insurance options that a business might need.

We can help optimize your combination of benefits to give you the most beneficial coverage. Various types of insurance many businesses choose to have include:

  • Commercial property insurance—If something damages physical property, such as your building or possessions, this coverage can help you repair or replace them.
  • General liability insurance—This covers your business if it is deemed responsible for property damage or bodily injuries to another party, such as a client or vendor. This coverage also helps cover claims arising from reputational harm and personal and advertising injuries.
  • Business interruption insurance—This coverage can help you pay the bills if you must temporarily close after a damaging incident.
  • Commercial auto insurance—When the company owns vehicles, this coverage can supply the requisite physical damage, liability, and other benefits to help your business afford the costs of wrecks or other vehicle hazards.
  • Workers’ compensation insurance—If one of your employees experiences a work-related illness or injury, workers’ compensation insurance can help provide wages and coverage for medical costs.
  • Errors & omissions insurance—Claims of or lawsuits arising from claims of inaccurate professional advice or mistakes, negligence, misrepresentation, or violation of good faith and fair dealing can be costly for businesses. E&O insurance, which is also known as professional liability insurance, can help cover court costs or settlement costs arising from E&O claims or suits.
  • Surety bonds—If you’re contractually bound to specific clients, bonds can guarantee that you’ll repay them if you cannot meet your obligations.

Various other types of coverage can also protect against specific risks and liabilities, including:

  • Cyber liability insurance
  • Employment practices liability insurance
  • Hired/non-owned auto liability coverage
  • Inland marine insurance
  • Products/completed operations liability insurance
  • Umbrella liability insurance

Small business owners may benefit financially by bundling their essential coverage into a business owners policy (BOP). A BOP is designed for small business operations and gives them several benefits (property, general liability, business interruption) in one policy at a single price. Not all businesses are eligible to purchase a BOP.

How Much Business Insurance Do I Need?

Your business is unique, so your insurance needs to be customized for your specific operational needs. We will work with you to optimize your benefits by tailoring your coverage limits, deductibles and endorsements.
